MY STORY
I started losing my hair at age 19 and I decided to try hair surgery. What none of these doctors really tell you is how much hair you will really keep losing and how you’ll need more surgeries to keep up with it and eventually you run out of hair. By the time I was 26, I was wearing a hat 24/7 and completely hated what I had done. Finally, after 15 years of misery, I found Scalp Micropigmentation. It was the best decision I ever made. I was so happy with the results I knew I wanted to learn how to do it for myself and give back to all of the men and woman out there suffering like I suffered.
I think what makes me unique is my empathy. Its my biggest strength. I genuinely care about your happiness because of my own personal journey I went through. I treat each client like a extension of that journey. It makes me extremely detail orientated to the point of seeking perfection. I can assure you, whatever your story, I feel your pain, and I know what you are going through. I will do everything I can to make you feel like that person in the mirror is the person you were supposed to be!
I have now been working in SMP for 4 years. I am partnered with Goodlook Ink, the largest micropigmentation company in the US out of Baltimore. I am their lead artist for the east coast. I am also partnered with Maxim Hair Restoration in Alexandria where I am their Lead Artist. Sculpted Micro is my personal brand that I work out of the Alexandria office. These large companies have given me a larger volume of clients than the average mom and pop shop artist. I have much more experience and professionalism by working with them. They have also given me insight to the best methods, tools and inks to use on clients. My inks wont turn colors and my needles are the smallest possible, literally half the size of my competitors in the area. This allows my results to not look like dots, they look like hair!
I am not a big fan of 90% of the people doing this kind of work out there. They go take weekend training classes and then open up a shop and start doing sloppy work on clients until they figure it out over time or go out of business within a year. I got very lucky and I was mentored for a year before I ever touched a person's head. I think interning and mentoring is a old fashioned tradition I wish more people respected.
